The central beach of Parga town - Kryoneri (Krioneri) Beach

Parga town beach Krioneri – a beautiful, picturesque beach which faces the Isle of the Panagia (The island of Virgin Mary).  You can reach this island by a boat, pedalo or you can even swim there!

Krioneri Beach is located only some metres away from the Parga city center. In the center, opposite the beach, lies a small, tall rocky islet which the locals call “Skorda”.

Krioneri is a nice and clean beach, half sandy and half pebbly with beautiful blue waters (like anywhere in Parga). Krioneri beach embraces the main avenue of Parga where you will find various kind of shops for any taste, as well as cafes, taverns, restaurants, bars to enjoy good weather of the North-West Greece and the view to this picturesque beach with a small island. As it is already said above, it is Parga’s town beach, means you will have an advantage to be at the same time both in the city center with an active city life and swimming in the clear blue Ionian sea.

Right next to this, to the east, is Piso Krioneri beach, a small beach also within the town boundaries, which is surrounded by tall rocks.

Piso Krioneri has behind a mountain known as “St. Athanasios”, named for the orthodox church that is placed on the mount’s top. This physical shield saves Piso Krioneri beach from inclemency. Piso Krioneri is less small than Krioneri beach and not so full in the high season…
